Roughness measurements with InfiniteFocus show how solid a gear drive is or how two bearing surfaces interact. InfiniteFocus measures roughness not only via profile but also across the entire area. Consequently users gain essentially more information on surface finishes.|
Automatic wear measurement InfiniteFocus automatically measures form deviation and wear across large measurement area. Uses include, for example, measurement of fretting on sealing rings and pistons. Quantify corrosion Corrosion processes and the effect of corrosion in failure analysis can be identified by measuring the depth and volume of corroded area. Measure roughness on surfaces that are difficult to access InfiniteFocus measures roughness across the whole area – also on features that are hard to access e.g. tooth flank or the flanks of the root. Measure gear wheels Cracked tooth flanks, gear damage, grey staining (pitting) can be measured without surface contact.
